Sometime between 2002 and 2005 (I don’t remember exactly when), my brother developed an interest in the DJ profession. Back then, he invested in his equipment, which consisted of 2 Pioneer CDJ-100s and a (if I remember correctly) Numark DM 950 mixer. I watched in awe as he seamlessly blended tracks together. He showed me a few times what each knob and button did, but at that moment, it didn’t really capture my attention. However, like any curious kid, shortly after, when he wasn’t at home, I sneaked into his room and started practicing.Eventually, I accompanied him to school discos where, in the beginning, I got the chance to play as the warm-up act. Then, in 2008, one of my classmates asked me to DJ at a birthday party he was organizing. The party went so well that for almost 1.5 years, we organized events every 2-3 weeks. During this period, I played the music of the time, known as ‘TGMT,’ as I performed full evenings, occasionally featuring a couple of familiar guest performers.
After this series of events concluded, unfortunately, there weren’t many opportunities for gigs. Then, in 2012, the music of W&W provided a foundation for me to start playing again, although this time just for my own enjoyment. In 2012-2013, my repertoire shifted from trance to clubhouse and tech house. In 2014, a DJ competition was announced in Miskolc as part of Strange Sound, where I became one of the lucky finalists. At the first event, I was given a one-hour slot in the small room. At this time, Nu Disco/Disco and Progressive/Chill music were my main inspirations.
In 2015, I even submitted a mix to burn Residency, achieving a surprising placement for myself. In 2016 and 2017, I played every 2-3 weeks in a basement venue in Miskolc, where the themes varied, and I played everything. After that, I took a step back to be with my family and nurture other hobbies. However, in 2022, I felt the urge once again to step behind the decks. Now, I only play the style that moves me, namely House, Progressive, Tech House, and Techno. It was through Techno that I found my way into the team at Music Station Hungary radio, and I’m thrilled to be part of it.
Valamikor 2002-2005 között (már nem emlékszem pontosan) akkor a bátyám érdeklődött a DJ szakma iránt. Akkoriban meg is vette az eszközeit, amely 2 db Pioneer CDJ-100 és egy (ha jól emlékszem) Numark DM 950-es keverő. Ámulattal néztem, ahogyan a zenéket egymásra illeszti. Párszor megmutatta, hogy pontosan mi mit csinál, de akkor, abban a pillanatban nem kötött le. De mint minden gyerek kíváncsi voltam én is, így nem sokkal ezután, amikor ő nem volt otthon, besurrantam a szobájába és elkezdtem gyakorolni. Idővel jártam vele a sulidiszkókba, és ott az elején gyakorolhattam, mint warm up. Aztán 2008-ban egyik osztálytársam kért meg, hogy zenéljek egy az általa szervezett születésnapi bulin. Ez a buli annyira jól sikerült, hogy majdnem 1,5 évig 2-3 heti rendszerességgel szerveztük a bulikat. Itt még az akkori ’TGMT” zenéket játszottam, mivel teljes estéket húztam le, néha néha egy két ismerős vendégfellépővel.
Ahogy vége lett ennek a rendezvény sorozatnak, sajnos nem volt nagyon fellépési lehetőség.
Aztán 2012-ben a W&W akkori zenéi adtak egy alapot, hogy újra elkezdjek zenélni, igaz itt csak a magam szórakozására. 2012-2013-ban trance majd ismét clubhouse és tech house lett a repertoárom. 2014-ben Miskolcon meghirdettek egy DJ versenyt, a Strange Sound keretein belül, ahol a szerencsés továbbjutók közé kerültem és az első rendezvényen 1 órás fellépést biztosítottak a kisteremben. Ekkor a Nu Disco / Disco és a Progressive / Chill zenék mozgattak meg.
2015-ben a burn Residency-be is küldtem mixet, mely számomra meglepő helyezést ért el. 2016 és 2017-ben Miskolcon, egy pince helyiségben játszottam 2-3 hetente, ahol leginkább témaestek voltak, itt mindent is játszottam. Ezután visszavonultam, hogy a családommal legyek és más hobbit dédelgessek, de 2022-ben ismét késztetést éreztem, hogy pult mögé álljak, viszont már csak azt a stílust játszom, ami engem megmozgat, mégpedig a House, Progressive, Tech House és a Techno. A Techno által sikerült belépést nyernem a Music Station Hungary rádió csapatába, aminek nagyon örülök, hogy részese lehetek.
